I couldn't say specifically, but if I were to guess it's probably a naval gun off of a ship. Artillerly pieces usually have wheels of some sort since a stationary gun is only a big fat target. Why they mounted it ashore (is that a castle?) is beyond me. I would be totally usless in this day and age.
Forgive me for completely ignoring your sarcasm and answering (or not) your question seriously. I just couldn't resist. :)
